Branching Out Dubuque Kick-off Event

Meeting Location: 16th Street Detention Basin Pavillion
The City of Dubuque, in partnership with Dubuque Trees Forever, was awarded a US Forest Service grant for $1.5 million dollars and will be planting thousands of trees throughout the community over the next 5 years.
Join us as we kick-off this exciting project and plant a trees around the detention basin to provide resting places for migratory birds visiting our community.
Meet at the site 9:00 a.m. Training and tools provided.
Sign up as an individual or as a member of a team. We recommend teams of 3 or 4 adults. If you plan to be part of a team, please note the team name on your registration. (Teams of youth must be accompanied by at two adults.)
You’ll receive an email reminder a few days before the event including safety instructions, what to wear, equipment to bring and other details.
Safety is our top priority. We provide a planting education and a brief safety talk before each event to make sure everyone knows how to plant properly and work safely. We provide small tools, safety vests and gloves.
